New Charity Manager – Holly Parrott’s Bio
Holly first started learning BSL at school, where they provided basic BSL as an extracurricular activity. She believed that BSL was a British language and therefore more useful than the French or German offered to her. She challenged why BSL wasn’t an option and the school changed its policy.
Her working life started in corporate banking where she became a well-respected and award-winning Operational Manager. From here, she was headhunted for a company that specialised on inclusion in education. The company became a nationally recognised market leader and won multiple awards. Holly’s last role was the Director of Operations for a charity and is use to the governance of working with charities and their legislation.
During her spare time, Holly is either off on international community projects through Girlguiding, studying towards her Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), or volunteering on The Talyllyn Railway with her husband and their two German Shepherds.
If you see Holly around, introduce yourself to her- she is looking forward to meeting you all.
